"Hidden Struggle: Famous Faces and Their Hearing Journeys”
The Hearing Loss Association of America (HLAA), originally known as "SHHH", was founded in 1979 by Howard E. “Rocky” Stone and is the nation’s leading organization representing persons with hearing loss. The mission of HLAA is to open the world of communication to people with hearing loss by providing information, education, support, and advocacy.
Hearing Loss Association of America- Houston Chapter shares that national mission. We are mothers, fathers, sons, daughters, husbands and wives, who are passionate about helping others with hearing loss.
We meet each month, on the third Saturday, at the Trini Mendenhall Community Centre, 1414 Wirt Rd. Houston, TX 77055 from 10:00 am - Noon.
