The Hearing Loss Association of America (HLAA)- Houston Chapter invites you to its monthly meetings.

Come and meet people who understand the challenges and joys of living with hearing loss

Meetings are held on the third Saturday of each month from 9:30 AM – 12:00 PM at Trini Mendenhall

Community Center, 1414 Wirt Rd, Houston, TX 77055 (a few exits west of 610 West Loop)

Presenter: Global Alliance of Speech-to-Text Captioning

As the Chair Elect for the Global Alliance and the lead for the Caption Quality Task Force, our speaker Kimberly

Shea is reaching out regarding the task force project (Captions Conversation – The Global Alliance for Speech-To-

Text Captioning - Possible Improvements and What You Can Do To Help).

We want to give everyone the information and opportunity to join these efforts. The Alliance is building a record of

captioning samples from every broadcast market across the country. The Alliance will evaluate the caption accuracy,

organize the data, and store it for use in education, advocacy, and legislation.

Join us for fellowship at 9:30. The meeting begins at 10:00. Refreshments Provided!!!
